Job Title: QA Tester
Hybrid Remote: In the office twice a week in addition to remote work.
Reporting to: QA Supervisor
Job/Role Description:
As a QA Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of both new and existing in-game features through comprehensive testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects, ensuring an excellent user experience. You’ll take charge of identifying and reporting bugs, crafting and refining test cases, and ensuring every feature meets the highest standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Test in-game functionality and features across all game genres, with a focus on racing games and demonstrating strong skills in racing game mechanics.
- Create and execute detailed test cases to evaluate game mechanics and identify issues.
- Document and report bugs with accurate, comprehensive information to support efficient resolution.
- Conduct regression testing and verify the resolution of reported bugs.
- Provide end-to-end testing support throughout the development cycle, including post-release feedback.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, offering constructive feedback to enhance game quality.
- Contribute to refining testing processes and methodologies.
- Assist the line manager and support testing for other game genres as needed.
Other:
- In addition to your normal duties, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a secondary/higher education degree
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Tester in the gaming industry, specifically testing racing games.
- Proven experience using console development and testing kits.
- Familiarity with game Certification and Localisation processes.
- Experience with compliance testing for PlayStation and Xbox.
- Solid understanding of the free-to-play gaming market.
- Good knowledge of JIRA and other bug tracking systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
